During the pandemic, my friend and I founded Hoop Legendz Basketball Camp (HLBC) to offer affordable basketball instruction to kids ages 7-14 in the Atlanta area. Our camp emphasizes basketball fundamentals, leadership, and social skills.I built the website, I've designed and distributed flyers, and employed communication strategies to boost camper registration and brand awareness.I manage finances, set affordable pricing, and ensure financial sustainability, leading HLBC to generate over $20,000 in revenue over our first 4 summers.I've utilized my graphic design skills by creating flyers, yard signs, T-shirts, and certificates, establishing a cohesive and appealing brand identity.Starting HLBC from scratch taught me valuable lessons in planning, advertising, and execution. I recruited and managed a team of 8 high school students as camp coaches and secured basketball and sanitary facilities by working with school district officials and external vendors.I’ve mentored and trained over 150 kids (200+ registrations), fostering their passion for basketball and creating a supportive, community-focused environment. I look forward to expanding and enhancing the camp to reach more children.
