I manage the color orders for our print shop. For this small business, I work with customers from start to finish. I take orders, help customers decide what is best for their order, produce the print orders, and invoice and check out customers. This position requires a high degree of multi-tasking and I may have to work with a half dozen customers at any given time during the day at any stage of the orders process. I also fill in as interim manager when the manager is out. I also do art reproductions and graphic layout in this position so have experience with Adobe Design Suite.

I worked for a local printing and mailing shop which has increased my marketing skills. My main duties were graphic design, print management, and order management. I was a regular user of the Adobe Creative Suite Software as I help other local businesses create colorful, engaging, and dynamic pieces of advertising that can be art pieces in themselves. This has ranged from labels for products, postcards for churches, and menus for restaurants. I managed the marketing for this great neighborhood insurance agency. I wore many hats in this role. My main role was to help engage our agents with our clients and help introduce potential new clients to our agents. A local marketing professional has described our brand as "homespun with a modern edge."For potential clients, I tried to make our agency searchable across multiple platforms such as print and online. I also worked on our media to show our values as an agency to potential clients so they may know a little about us before they call or fill out a quote form. I regularly worked on SEO, having brought our local search results on Google to page 1 in almost every insurance category we cater to, in less than 1 year. For our current clients, I tried to keep them engaged through insurance and life content marketing. I developed a referral program for them, where we donate $5 per referral we recieve from them for insurance to a local charity. We also showed them we like to have fun just like them. We believe that a company is more that just dollar signs. It is vehicle to help our community. Maintained assisted living community with over 120 beds. Tasks included work order maintenance, routine building inspections, room turns, doctor appointment driving and being there for our residents! Gained a CMV license during my time there and drove a 15 passenger mini bus for our residents.

Internship with Non-Profit organization, The Navigators, impacting college students lives by providing one-on-one mentoring on faith and life issues. Provided safe and unique environment where college students can feel safe, welcomed, and can met other friends going through the same life decisions and issues they are. Organized and led study groups and student activities and events to provide this environment. Learned skills in fundraising going toward an annual salary of over $38,000/year and was a requirement of the job and had to be done before working on campus when school started in the fall. I joined the organization at the University of Oregon to help start the program from nothing, and saw it grow to see over two dozen students become impacted by the work we put in. And to top it off, I had the ability to travel internationally, during the summers, to work with International Students in the United Kingdom and Belgium!
