Created standardized naming convention allowing automated discovery and review of redundant files totaling over 3.2Tb over multiple NAS servers saving the company $10,000+ in backup costs. Consolidated and organized 25TB file system.• Compiled and managed database of source file location associated with primary key of main database entry. This database was used everyday to increase production times by over 100%.• Managed database updates for multiple large video hosting websites. Ensured proper spelling and taxonomy.• As Custodian of Records: digitized, compiled and managed 2257 databases. Two years of data was lost from previous employee error, recompiled data into database using pdftotext and PHP with the GD library to crop image data and parsed text using regular expressions.• Automated creation of 2257 video placards using PHP to pull data from database, write data with true type font based on current color of frame text to each frame, pushed all frames together using ffmpeg while also adding audio. Then automatically sent placard file and source video file to Elemental Server REST API to be encoded for multi-platform web distribution.• Manage 5 Production assistant(s). Automated their processes as much as possible and created reporting scripts to manage and review employee productivity.• Configured and automated compression of H.264 video for end users. Script cropped scenes from source video file using ffmpeg, sent source video location and compression advanced settings to elemental REST API via XML. Upon completion of compression, Elemental Server triggered a second PHP script to import video metadata into respective database, and move file to appropriate location.
