I am the I.T. Manager for Hughes General Contractors. I make sure the entire network is running smoothly at all times. Daily I make sure everyone that I work with is taken care of with the technology they use. I strive to help my co-workers use modern technology to get their work done effectively and efficiently. I did anything from help desk support to network administration at this job. I setup entire networks as well as managed and maintained them, wired buildings for low voltage, installed servers, backup solutions, pretty much anything IT. I primarily maintained and managed domains for small to large businesses and corporations. When I first started I was a salesman. I did very well at this and was posting great numbers for the store. I was promoted shortly after and became the lead in store PC technician. Anything computer related as far as troubles, questions, and recommendations would come to me. Circuit City's main focus was to make the customer happy and that is what I did.The job duties included selling PC installs, and figuring out the best solution for customers, network setups, basic setups, advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics, as well as data recovery. Hardware installation and software modifications/installations/uninstalls Virus/Spyware removal and more.

This was my first job. I moved up from employee to an in store trainer and then shift leader (assistant manager). I supervised over others and had a key to the store, I also had every aspect of the job memorized. I completed inventory counting and ordering daily. Job duties included prepping, bank drop offs, money management, social skills, learning of new products, marketing strategies, unpacking inventory, cleaning dishes, using a register and safes with large amounts of money, customer appreciation, mopping floors, scrubbing surfaces, replacing low inventory, stainless steel upkeep, and had to be within dress code. I also trained new employees that were hired on and made sure everyone was following procedure.

He showed me how to work with metals, aluminum, steel, etc. Electronics was a main focus also, included wiring the inside of planes and using circuit breakers, switches, lights etc. I used every tool and power tool in the shop. Glenn also taught me a lot about running your own personal business. The planes we worked on are called Questair Ventures. I also did a lot of engine work. Unfortunately when he passed away from cancer I was left without a job.
