About Jacob Glantz

I am a passionate, knowledgable and dedicated wine industry professional. My undergraduate degree is from one of Canada’s most reputable universities, Queen's University. I then decided to pursue a career in the wine and spirits industry. I went to Bordeaux France to complete INSEEC’s MBA program specializing in wine marketing and management. After graduating I remained in Bordeaux, gaining employment with Vignobles K, a company out of St. Emilion where I worked in bilingual marketing as well as the development of oenotourism. I now represent Flat Rock Cellars in Jordan, Ontario. One of the destination wineries in the Niagara region, FRC is always pushing the boundaries of winemaking, marketing and customer service. As the Business Development Manager I am responsible for driving sales and developing brand affinity with an end goal of becoming everybody's favourite winery. I hire, manage and train the retail team while developing events and on-premise/off-premise sales initiatives to drive growth. Prior to my work in France I worked extensively in the restaurant industry, serving in many of Ontario’s best restaurants before being promoted to a management position where I honed my abilities to work within a team, lead, and perform back-office duties. English is my mother-tongue and my French is developing, it is fully functional. I am used to travelling through different countries and working with different cultures. Working internationally I have managed numerous situations involving people from all walks of life. Additionally, I travelled throughout Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for 5 months with nothing more than a backpack and my ability to socialize and build relationships.
