As the Director of Operations at Trailhead, I am responsible for overseeing and managing all operational aspects of the organization. In this role, I am accountable for ensuring the efficient and effective day-to-day operations of Trailhead Boise, including membership, facilities, technology, marketing, programming, and events while reporting directly to the Executive Director and working closely with the rest of the Trailhead team.Responsibilities:1. Oversee all operational aspects of Trailhead Boise, including membership, facilities, technology, marketing, programming, and events.2. Manage and mentor a team of staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.3. Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations of the organization.4. Manage the organization's membership products, including pricing strategy, growth, and reporting.5. Develop and maintain relationships with key community partners and stakeholders.6. Plan and execute successful events, both in-person and virtual, to support Trailhead’s mission and engage the Boise community.7. Identify opportunities for improvement and growth of the organization, and implement strategies to achieve them.8. Work collaboratively with the Executive Director and other team members to achieve Trailhead Boise's mission and goals.

Position Summary:In this role, I am responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and measurement of marketing campaigns for our organization. This includes budgeting, coordinating, and tracking marketing efforts to ensure maximum impact and return on investment. The Marketing Manager also leads a small marketing team and works closely with other departments to facilitate communication and integration of our organization's various IT systems.Key Responsibilities:1. Develop and execute marketing strategies to achieve business goals and objectives2. Set and manage marketing budgets, including forecasting and tracking expenses3. Plan and coordinate marketing campaigns across various channels, including digital, social media, email, and events4. Analyze campaign performance and identify areas for improvement5. Lead and manage a small marketing team, providing direction and guidance as needed6. Foster communication and collaboration between marketing and other departments7. Continuously assess and improve marketing processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness

In this role, I will be working closely with the Trailhead to improve their CRM system management, marketing efforts, operations, and overall membership experience.

M work with the Franklin House Wine Club follows a similar process as a start-up company, guiding the early stages of the Wine Club’s business strategy through marketing, supply chain, customer relations, accounting, and leadership. Serving this role has enabled me to practice and apply the business concepts learned in the MBA classroom towards a living, breathing business.
