As a production manager, I have the role to manage a team of technical crew in the set-up of various events. I also have responsibilities to ensure all lighting and sound during and event runs smoothly, and to troubleshoot any issues that arise. In terms of lighting, depending on the event I’d have control of the lighting desk, using a programmed show file to control the various lighting configurations in the venue.I also work with promoters, artists etc to ensure all standards are met for an event and so that artists in particular are satisfied with all their needs.I also have the responsibilities to pack down and close the venue, ensuring nothing is left on and equipment put away.

Worked at The Old Fire Station as part of the tech crew. My role here is to help set-up events, which could include setting up the stage with DJ Decks for a DJ, or the required equipment for a band. It requires me to have intuition and good communication/teamwork skills to ensure set-ups are completed effectively, safely and efficiently.I also have to provide assistance to any artists, promoters and external event workers to ensure there time at the venue is enjoyable and accomodating enough.
