My group within the Electrical Systems department at Electric Boat was responsible for maintaining electromagnetic compatibility between submarine systems. We enforced defense standards and supported special case analyses. We supported other departments in the design of components that limit electromagnetic interference. We also supported government efforts in reducing the underwater electromagnetic ship signature.
