Currently I work part time as a Marine Biologist Environmental Technician contracting with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). My duties include maintaining positive public relations, while simultaneously acting as a mediator between the fisherman, dealers, and data end users. Being response for two regions from Maine to Massachusetts, I often travel from various locations collecting data and biological samples in the field. Data may range from things such as detailed fishing gear specifics, sector location verified with global information systems (GIS) & vessel monitoring systems (VMS), species abundance and diversity as verified through firsthand accounts, digital, and paper reports. In addition to collecting hard data such as species type, market category, sex, lengths, and weight. Lastly, I also collect biological samples & perform electronic monitoring. These samples are used to identify additional variables to include age and environmental factors that can be quantified to study a broad range of ways to enhance and sustain both the environment and fishing industry alike.

As an animal care technician, I was directly responsible for the care and welfare of our laboratory animals. This involved performing daily animal health observation checks and facility inspections in accordance with organizational standard operating procedures. Other husbandry duties were also required to provide the highest level of quality assurance and control. In accordance with The American Association of Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) and the organization Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) tasks ranging from scheduled cage changes, food, water, housing, and enrichment inspections to assisting with animal housing and receiving were performed. Also, as a measure to maintain quality and accuracy detailed records were maintained and updated frequently. My role as a technician, however, was not limited to animal welfare. It also included obligations to client organizations and individual investigators. Other duties included monitoring personnel entry and equipment as per company policy, coordinating preventative maintenance of equipment, operating equipment when required, assisting with the restraint, handling, and manipulation of animals, aiding in the assurance of research integrity, receiving laboratory freight, and general housekeeping as needed.

Performing as a millworks sales specialist I routinely interacted with various clients in different capacities to understand and complete their project goals. This involved custom designing solutions, while informing them of critical information, current offers, and services. Along with aiding and planning support functions were also essential. These functions included following the project from start to finish utilizing data base systems to document, research, resolve, coordinate, and relay specifics between parties. Other common retail and customer support task were also included in day-to-day operations. In order to successfully complete individual and team task such as inventory, audits, stocking, monetary functions, training, covid guidelines, and cross departmental support it was imperative to have clear lines of communication, time management, and prioritizing.

As a warehouse worker for CSWG I had the pleasure of operating in a variety of positions simultaneously. These positions ranged from aiding as a fill in porter to being a member of the safety board. I routinely performed as an order selector for primarily the dry goods department, but also assisted in the perishable section as well. While performing as a selector I utilized a voice control headset to complete both piece pick and case pick orders. Being proficient as an order selector I was tasked with training new associates. When called upon during the high-volume season I was also cross trained as a relief loader. Given my willingness to go above and beyond I was then afforded the opportunity to serve as a forklift driver towards the end of my tenure.

Day to day operations included filling and completing order request in a timely manner. As per standard operating procedures this was done with the aid of a ride on pallet jack and a voice operated Bluetooth enabled headset. To ensure safety and accuracy, standardized lifting techniques were used in conjunction with verification codes and quantity confirmation checks. As a team member of an international logistic company working abroad, we were responsible for supplying a third of the country and supporting the other two facilities located in the northern and southern continental regions. Our supportive role consisted of both regulatory functions and assistance in cases of emergencies and catastrophic events such as severe earthquakes.

Utilizing a voice-controlled operating system with given area sections and quantities my assignment was to locate and load various items stored within the warehouse. This was to be accomplished in an organized manor before palletizing the items neatly to extend no more than 1.5 inches beyond the pallet, with a maximum height of seven feet. After palletizing, the freight had to be delivered to various loading docks to be secondarily wrapped and loaded onto trucks for shipment.

My responsibilities as a Non-Conveyable warehouse associate for Walmart Distribution included being punctual for the established arrival times to better facilitate and expedite the processing of freight too large, small, heavy, or fragile to be transported by conveyor belt throughout the warehouse. This was done by possessing the ability to demonstrate and utilize a voice control headset, radio frequency scan gun, and a real-time computer data analysis system; the system was used to locate, research when necessary, and organize freight within the warehouse. The job function also required the ability to separate and deliver the items to specific locations for shipment while simultaneously focusing on time management, warehouse cleanliness, and safety. To perform these functions the knowledge of operating heavy machinery such as a one man standing heavy load pallet jack, trash compactors, cardboard and plastic balers, and the understanding of proper lifting techniques were required, along with a reasonable level of physical fitness. In addition, as needed it required the ability to arrange and adjust freight delivery locations, weight distribution, and or volume in accordance with the stores data systems. Lastly before shift change briefings and follow ups on any surplus or shortages of products were completed and informed to higher management levels along with recommended ways of adapting to meet new shipment dates and times upon completion of task.

As an overnight stock clerk for Dollar Tree I was held to be punctual and responsible for meeting tight deadlines within production requirements for offloading trucks of freight and organizing various stocks of merchandise in our warehouse. The merchandise would then be loaded on stocking carts and prepared for shelving; often this task required the resetting of pre-planned sections of the store. Once stocking, facing, and arranging the organized sections had been performed, as part of the overnight team responsibilities, the operating of machinery to bale cardboard boxes for recycling was required. Following the completion of baling the boxes stocking reports had to be reviewed and inputted in the stores database before performing additional accuracy verifications.

As a sales associate of Party City my daily duties include multi-tasking in the area of cashier and stocking and down stocking freight, as well as responsibilities to provide excellent customer service. In this position I also monitored activities near the sales counter, in which I assisted customers by familiarizing them with our store layout and recommending alternative items, while proposing creative new ideas utilizing our in-store kiosk and aiding in customer checkout. I also answered and informed customers both in person and that were contacting the store by telephone with questions or queries to better assist them. Along with adapting to the requirements of customer service I also focused on other retail oriented task such as completing reports, arranging orders to be completed on the next business day, formulating a plan to perform a detailed oriented recovery, to include disposal of trash and unnecessary items, maintaining store appearance, and rotating and proper facing of store merchandise. This position also required experience with store seasonal packing and unloading, performing planogram resets, store breakdown and build ups to include setting and following merchandising plans.

As a seasonal sales associate for Spirit Halloween I was able to take part in the creative and inventive stage of assembly and organizing the store for the scheduled business season. Once the season had arrived, I was tasked with stocking the sales floor with merchandise, replenishing items of low quantities, customer assistance, and assisting in closing clean up. I also increased productivity of the store by motivating other employees in their task, while increasing the quality of customer service by proving myself to be a dependable and a reliable employee. Not only did I challenge my co-workers to strive for higher and better results, I assisted them when needed down to the smallest task such as, general cleaning. Towards the end of the season accomplishing my task in a timely fashion I was requested for condensing the store for inventory. Along with condensing as a team myself and a few other select individuals were requested for repackaging merchandise for storage and loading all remaining items for shipment back to the original storage location.

My duties as a heavy helicopter airframe structural mechanic included the abilities to measure workloads and calculate how many people were needed to effectively perform task at optimum efficiency. Maintenance related task and administration functions such as inventory, ordering supplies, and completing required reports were also required. Also, as an air-frame mechanic being able to utilize references and pre-established operating programs and procedures to identify, assist, and perform maintenance on structural internal and external parts of a helicopter were essential. Often general daily maintenance required repair task such as metal work, composite repair, and but not limited to hydraulic lines and components with the requirement of meeting strict deadlines. In order to expedite this process ground support equipment was required to assist in troubleshooting and performing functionality and operational checks to ensure safety, accuracy, and correctness. In addition, my general responsibilities included maintaining the hazardous material program involving the teaching and training of others to utilize hazardous material in the proper applicable manor with optimal safety to complete various task.
