I was promoted to my current role after 2.5 years in the previous position. ---There is more to come in my experience overview, but I am currently developing a 12-18 month stewardship plan for Olbrich's membership and development affinity groups (major donor and prospect pools, planned giving, a loyal donor/good friend program, upper-level members, memorial and tribute donors and programs). I am also developing grants management procedures.

My first position was within a 7-person Development and Marketing team, helping to rebuild and bring stability and consistency to the Gardens' membership program.I supported 2 unique data migration projects and re-developed integrity and sound practices, particularly supportive of annual audit procedures, for handling incoming membership contributions and gifts to the gardens, and providing on-site, phone, and email correspondence to members and supporters. In addition, I was directly involved in re-establishing stability and reliability within the membership program (expense reduction and revenue expansion through direct mail (renewal and prospecting channels). I also supported fundraising staff in mid-level and major giving programs, including the organization's largest capital campaign in its history.I also provided silent auction experience and support to events staff for Olbrich's former gala, Rhapsody In Bloom.

This Committee was made up of10 AFP-Greater Madison Chapter members, and oversees the calendar year's programming needs. The committee plans monthly chapter meetings, secures sponsorships for program-related events, and selects quarterly roundtable themes and webinar topics.Each member was required to develop the program for one of the Chapter's monthly gatherings. I bravely chose January (having just weeks to pull it all together, mind you) and built a 'new year, new you, new plan' panel that themed on building a "culture of philanthropy" within the workplace. Panelists included Mike Knetter (UW Foundation), Amanda White (Amanda White Consulting, based in Madison, WI), and Cheri Dubiel (Associate Director, Community Shares of Wisconsin).
