Assisting a group of roughly 15 students in Launceston who are taking KGA204 - Earth, Climate and Life, a course which is delivered in Hobart and streamed to Launceston. My role is to answer any of their questions, help them to complete their practicals and assignments, and to be their face-to-face contact in Launceston. I also assisted with a field trip.

Hired on a short-term contract, I worked as part of a small team collecting, processing, and storing a wide range of native grass and shrub seed that was to be spread over a 300 ha, 8 m deep ash pit - the remains of a decomissioned coal power plant at Port Augusta - to prevent the continued movement of ash into the township. It was a physically challenging.
