My photography career began in 2022 when a cousin floated the idea to learn drone piloting and videography from A and B [that’s actually the start of their names]. He’d also opened a studio, and to me, everything was falling into place. Only that A’s drone crashed, and B took one look at my laptop and let me know that it couldn’t handle video. So, photography.“Always remember to Before, After.”It’s been two years, and even though most studio work involves making people look good for their birthday (and deserves its own special rant), I prefer to focus on the fashion/magazine look. Unfortunately, we live in a world of action, and every minute spent on philosophy is a minute not spent on action.”Before photography, I wrote. I’ve been a writer ever since I had to “write about my holiday” for my primary school English assignment and took it seriously in 2016 when I discovered freelancing. A journey that lasted until 2019 specializing in blog posts and product descriptions (which tied well with being a shopify partner). Then died when I only wrote in pursuit of clients for fear of creating irrelevant content. “People don’t need to like you to work with you but need to know you.”When I am not writing or being a photographer, I am a Computer Science Major (Nerd). I’ve loved computers from the moment I hooked up an old desktop that was beneath a table in my parents' living room as a child. It was like a puzzle. Every component had its own connector, so all I had to do was find its corresponding shape and connect it.I would practice everything in my computer studies textbook and beyond, from typing to writing (remember how I had to write about my holiday in primary school? This was around the same time). I didn’t have internet; it existed as an abstract concept (like Happiness). It wasn't until secondary school, when we were allowed to use the computer room in JS2, that my friends (and teacher) introduced me to Miniclip (an online game site that’s probably dead) and, by and large, the internet.I genuinely believe that as long as I’m touching a computer, I will be happy. Even though I’m burning through my life essence by studying computer science in school.Thank you for getting to know me. I’d like to know a little about you too.
