I:- Accompany individuals experiencing homelessness, mental illness, drug/alcohol addiction, and trauma with compassion & support and exercise crisis intervention tactics when necessary.- Develop skills in professional teamwork and collaboration by working with other missionaries & staff on homeless outreach, non-profit management, daily chores, etc. - Live in community with 33 other missionaries from diverse backgrounds, learning valuable skills in conflict management, effective communication, and availability to others’ needs. - Train & supervise volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to participate in homeless outreach.- Network with local agencies to understand available resources to help connect the homeless to them. - Assist in the process of interviewing and reviewing applications for prospective missionaries. - Receive intensive spiritual & intellectual formation, including classes in Theology and Catholic Social Teaching accredited through the University of Mary and the Augustine Institute.
