For drivers specifically, it's a grueling and under appreciated job.Our company provides a Scorecard product that helps drivers and delivery company owners better understand the expectations Amazon has, and provide direct feedback in clear, concise language to help drivers excel at their jobs and make more money.At DRIVR, I handle all development and operations and work closely with my co-founder on product, sales & strategy. We serve hundreds of DSPs with a paid product offering and thousands of drivers every week.Our stack is a C# backend with a custom API framework I've built and extended over the past 5 years, DynamoDB, a Svelte/Typescript frontend, some custom specialized parsing and recognition services in Java, and everything runs entirely serverless on AWS, including infrastructure using CDK.

I also lead our hardware project for our bluetooth connected Smart Scoop, handle day-to-day finances and manage our customer support team.

At Yahoo, I worked on mobile in the communications organization I lead our team developing a number of explorational products, primarily working on the backend infrastructure and APIs. Eventually, my team joined up with others to work on a complete rewrite and relaunch of the iconic Yahoo Messenger. I lead the iOS engineering team for Messenger handling feature planning, app submission and development of core features in the app. I also worked on a small number of web frontend work for Yahoo Mail.

Tomfoolery was created to "make work awesome" with consumer-grade collaboration and communications apps for the workplace. I was the lead engineer for Tomfoolery's backend APIs and infrastructure to support our mobile app, Anchor (and a second unreleased chat-focused app).Tomfoolery was acquired by Yahoo

Our team came into AOL tasked with creating a brand new tablet newsreader product: Editions. The app crawled the web and all of AOL and it's partners news sources to produce a visually compelling, completely individually customized magazine "just for you". You could then rank topics and authors pandora-style and each day, we'd take your suggestions and further customize your magazine. I worked with both Objective-C and C#/MonoTouch to create the Editions app, and was the lead of our mobile team during the planning and development of the app. I also assisted on the backend creating dashboards and other monitoring tools. While at AOL, I also solely wrote the backend for a game called a Taboo-style turn-based iPhone game called Clucks.

12seconds.tv was a Twitter-like video status service. It gives you 12 seconds to share video moments from your life from either your webcam or mobile phone. It eventually grew to over 100,000 users and generated revenue by allowing sponsors to direct fans to create videos for their bands.For most of the life of 12seconds, I was the sole engineer handling the entire backend stack including the website, video conversion systems, APIs, and video storage/delivery infrastructure. Later, I assisted with the development of 12seconds iPhone apps with our only other engineer. Our first iPhone app was released before the iPhone could take videos and it allowed you to take 3 photos and record 12 seconds of audio, stitching them into a moving slideshow. I wrote the entire backend system to create those slideshows.

Rally Up was an early Foursquare competitor check-in app that focused on connecting you with just a small number of your closest friends and letting you know where they were, and what they were up to.I worked on the backend platform and server architecture for the API that powered the mobile app, in addition to working on the iOS app itself. Eventually, the team working on Rally Up started doing work-for-hire for many companies, including Jawbone and Xobni. I primarily worked on iOS apps for our clients and assisted with backend needs as necessary.Rally Up was acquired by AOL

RMG is a digital marketing agency that in addition to strategy and all forms of advertising, also built websites for their clients. I worked part-time developing websites for their clients (HTML/CSS/PHP) while doing other startups. I also continued to provide technical advice and guidance as the firm explored additional work and opportunities

I assisted the V-Day non-profit organization with website development (PHP) and server management for the launch of a few of their annual campaign and the system that powers college student registration for their shows. I also troubleshooted any issues that came up, including spam prevention and abuse.

As a freshman in college, I founded StickyDrive along with two other business partners. The company created a portable "operating system" for USB flash drives that allowed consumers to carry their programs, settings, and documents to any computer and use them easily without needing to install or otherwise touch the host machine. I was the sole engineer for the first year of the company writing the app that ran on the flash drive, as well as handling all of our backend infrastructure. The company grew, though only worked part-time toI finished my degree, with the exception of summers and a quarter I took off from school.
