As a writer, I've had experience with both creative writing and professional writing, having written for both The Borgen Project and Grand Valley State University's regionally distributed newspaper, The Lanthorn. I am also an experienced freelancer, having worked for Comic Book Resources's Video Game team to create engaging online content. As a creative writer, I strive to entertain people with new and unique applications for the stories I craft. As a hobby, I've dabbled in scriptwriting, visual design, and my personal favorite hobby, video games. That last one is important, as I feel as though my life-long interest in the medium of video games has helped me to develop a cinematic writing style, as well as a writing style with acute attention to the reader's attention and interest. In today's world, it's incredibly important to be able to grab someone's attention and hold it for just as long as you need to, to make a point. Through both my personal hobbies and my time as a journalist, this is a skill I've come to understand and utilize.
