For three festivals I was the Shorts Programmer for the LRFF, watching hundreds of submitted films and selecting which ones to include. I curated the selections into themed programs, contacted the filmmakers with acceptance or declination letters, composed descriptions for each film and each film block and posted those on our website. I also supervised their inclusions in our printed program. I handled receiving final screening copies of each film and making sure those were compiled into their respective blocks on appropriate media. I oversaw the projection of the shorts programs during the festival and helped any attending filmmakers navigate the festival and its events.The Little Rock Film Festival was an annual showcase for international, national, and southern filmmaking. At the height of its success, the festival screened over 100 films in five days.

I was a reporter and film critic for Little Rock's NPR member station. This included conducting interviews, recording and editing audio packages, and reading news live on the air.Among the entertainment personalities I got to interview: Billy Bob Thornton, Shirley Jones, Patricia Neal, Farley Granger, Joey Lauren Adams, Mary Steenburgen, Ray McKinnon, Ira Glass, and David Schwimmer.Three times I attended film festivals to cover them for the station: once to Sundance when the locally-shot "Come Early Morning" premiered there and twice to South by Southwest.
