Technology supported and implemented included:- Microsoft Azure- Microsoft 365- VMWare vSphere- Windows Server- Microsoft Exchange- Sophos Cloud- Veeam Backup and Recovery- Rubrik Backup- HPE 3PAR- HPE BladesManaging servers across 8 sites in Australia and New Zealand for ~1500 staff. This was done with a small team of three system administrators.Whilst in this role, a need for a dedicated architecture team was indicated and I transitioned to a Solution Architect role.

Along with 4 other staff, as well as one onsite technician per office, I was responsible for maintaining daily internal IT operations in the Asia Pacific region. Software supported included:• Windows client support and management• SAP• PRMS, an ERP application attached to an AS/400 backend• TRIM, a document management program• BES Server• ZFS, an inhouse financial forecasting system used by Finance department Other roles also included:• Daily tape backup rotation• Twice-weekly diesel generator tests• Lease returns of laptops, desktops, servers, UPS units• Multiple projects, namely replacing domain controllers and rolling out iPads that are administered through Mobile Iron mobile device management• Liason for mobile solutions to Telstra to activate data and voice services, as well as any changes• Addressing any issues with other regions (EMEA and NAM) through out-of-band meetings, such as 7AM or 10PM

As part of my role with Workcover NSW as a Support Analyst I supported a large number of in-house and general applications and hardware within the organisation. These included:• Windows client/Mac OS X client support and management• WSMS, a Pivotal application for logging Inspector visits. This application could also be accessed via Citrix.• SCID, a chemical database attached to a UNIX database backend• TRIM, a document management program• NCIS, a license management program attached to an INFORMIX database• Outlook 2003/2007 connected to a mix of Exchange 2003/2010 servers• Remote working solutions provided via Checkpoint VPN and Telstra iPass• Blackberry handsets on the Telstra network, connected to a Blackberry Enterprise server in-house• Canon multifunction printers including a support contract with Sheather and Merrigan Business Machines• IBM and HP laptops and desktopsOther roles also included:• Incident analysis, management, prioritization and resolution• Hardware and software installation• Attending team meetings and notifying team members of current incidents/problems/outages• Adhering to a rotating shift roster between the hours of 7:30AM-5:00PM with 3 hour shifts• Call logging through Infra Enterprise, as well as updating existing calls• Managing and actioning service requests raised through a self-service portal

This position started as a contract role from an agency but continued for another year as a temporary full-time position within Workcover. This position was heavily involved in the hardware refresh project which involved a rollout of new desktops and laptops that had expired from their warranty period. During this timeframe, around 800 desktops and 400 laptops were replaced. Other roles included:• Deploying a Windows SOE on to all new machines• Co-ordinating the installation of software on freshly built machines for minimum downtime• Identifcation and resolution of issue arising from hardware replacement, such as software incompatibilities• Incident analyzation, management, prioritisation and resolution• Logging of all asset numbers and serial numbers against users• Large amounts of communication with the Refresh Project Manager in terms of hardware requirements and project progress reports
