Junior It Support Officer

This position started as a contract role from an agency but continued for another year as a temporary full-time position within Workcover. This position was heavily involved in the hardware refresh project which involved a rollout of new desktops and laptops that had expired from their warranty period. During this timeframe, around 800 desktops and 400 laptops were replaced. Other roles included:• Deploying a Windows SOE on to all new machines• Co-ordinating the installation of software on freshly built machines for minimum downtime• Identifcation and resolution of issue arising from hardware replacement, such as software incompatibilities• Incident analyzation, management, prioritisation and resolution• Logging of all asset numbers and serial numbers against users• Large amounts of communication with the Refresh Project Manager in terms of hardware requirements and project progress reports
