As a HR/Ops manager, I am responsible to making sure everything behind the scenes runs smoothly at my store. I deal with most associate relation issues, create schedules for 135 associates, direct an overnight freight-flow process, train new associates, and manage our omni-channel fulfillment process. I currently help maintain a $22 million business and lead a team that is consistently at the top of our region for sales and productivity in omni-channel fulfillment.

As an instructor, I teach people how to ski or snowboard or how to improve on their skiing or snowboarding techniques. I've taught men and women aging from 3-65. In the 1 hour time frame that I'm allowed, I teach people who have never skied or snowboard how to use their equipment, ski or board on flat ground (skate), climb up a small hill with and without equipment attached, go straight down a hill, stop, turn left and right, to get up from falling down properly (without the removal of equipment), and to be safe on the hill.

As an intern at Target Distribution Center, I was responsible for the receiving of freight into the distribution center. I managed a team varying in size from 20-30 team members to run 4 automated receiving lines and receive manual freight by hand. I was also responsible for managing shift hours, working with experienced team members to train new ones, assigning team members to specialty functions, boosting team morale, and maintaining a fast, fun, and friendly atmosphere. The biggest accomplishment of my Internship was working with my mentor to allocate team members in a tight time crunch to receive the maximum amount of freight.

As a Resident Assistant (RA) at the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, I was responsible for maintaining a positive, friendly, safe, and inviting atmosphere on a particular floor in a residence hall as well as around the entire building. I served as a means of guidance and reference for students in their first couple years of college. I lived on the same floor with 32 residence and watched over them and answered any questions they might have had. I also was there to discuss and school or personal issues they might have had. I had to deal with instances of contemplated suicide, drop-outs, divorce, stalking, roommate conflicts, theft and underage drinking. Outside of my floor, I had to maintain a positive outlook toward the rest of the residence hall and encourage other residents to participate in campus and hall activities. I organized events for my floor as well as the entire hall and helped other RAs host and cater events. I used the intranet to log incidents and maintain contact with my bosses.
