• Led task of designing and deploying polyp (tumor) detection algorithm for flagging cancerous and precancerous areas in the colon for the physician during colonoscopy based on 32 gastroenterologist's feedback from NSF ICORPs• Trained SegNet CNN with ResNet-50 backbone to classify and localize polyps from colonoscopy videos • Extracted, cleaned, and preprocessed images from colonoscopy databases using OpenCV, NumPy, and SciPy

• Programmed custom NLP-based tools for automating the extraction of cancer type and histology from clinicaltrials.gov• Developed Tensorflow BoostedTree machine learning models for predicting whether a clinical trial would meet its enrollment goal and performed feature engineering using custom SQL queries and Pandas library• Styled Tempus clinical trials web-app using React and JavaScript

• Designed and built a custom experimental apparatus for 2-bottle taste preference test using Arduino, a custom MATLAB GUI, and capacitive lick sensor. Assembled into high-throughput behavioral boxes for testing 18 mice in parallel and conducted two-bottle preference experiments• Conducted hunger and thirst brain-circuit research with transgenic mice and optogenetics• Programmed analysis software for fiber photometry data replicating best practices and version controlled with GitHub

I organized career-planning events, such as talks from representatives of biotech companies, meetings with Biomedical Engineering faculty, journal clubs, and an engineering hardware hackathon for undergraduate Biomedical Engineering students at Columbia.

• Cofounded Columbia's first healthcare hackathon, HealthHacks, in partnership with the HTA, IBM Watson, and ST Micro. Demonstrated how the Maker Space can be used to assist with hacking projects and taught soldering skills. Facilitated introduction to Arduino programming and how to get started with biohacking at Columbia.

• Designed comprehensive judging guidelines and checklist for biomedical section of Columbia’s annual hardware hackathon Make CU. Contacted companies for hackathon sponsorship

-Planned and ran an Introduction to Neurohacking workshop in collaboration with the Columbia Maker Space where a brief intro to the field was given before live-demos with backyard brain kits. There were over 20 new people trained and registered with the Maker Space as a result of the workshop.-Brainstormed part of the curriculum for Zuckerman Insitute outreach program Saturday Science and pioneered the inclusion of backyard brain kits in teaching harder-to-grasp concepts in neuroscience by leveraging new technology.

• Conducted data entry to help track distribution of water in district.• Increased, as part of a team, average amount of cars served daily from approximately 200 to 500 by streamlining distribution process, increasing staff, and expanding number of available pumps.• Maintained and improved grounds by painting power stations, tree installation, and ground upkeep.

• Greeted customers, took orders, and handled transactions at one of Northern California’s busiest lunch destinations.• Consistently completed orders and interactions with customers under the target of 2 minutes or less per sandwich.• Received perfect score on training test following completion of employee onboarding program.
