I worked on enhancements to the main product, which is web-based, and to a product that involved applications and objects that use MS Word macros, configuration files, dll files, and more to generate legal documents in Word and multipage web forms using Visual Basic 6, VB.Net 2003, Java, and XML.

I began working on the Emerson Corporation Human Resources Database, fixing queries to generate reports and doing data-entry. It was a relational database with employee, job, and course information. I was then moved to IT, where I worked as technical support. I ended up in HR again, normalizing and updating their database while creating an application that provided an easier interface for generating the reports they would need, allowing a variety of means of sorting, filtering, and grouping data. Reports based on courses required per employee, job, department, etc. and courses taken and still needed by employees were made available. I created user-friendly data-entry forms. I gave a series of presentations and training sessions as well.

Developed solutions for widely varying customer requests from requirements specification and pricing to delivery; ability to use a variety of programming languages to accomplish objectives; understanding Moldflow software as it relates to customers’ needs; use of source-control were all required of me.Created several Excel macros for automatic report generation; learned and used Moldflow proprietary reporting software for many reports; created an automatically generated and printed Crystal report and NT service; added functionality to Moldflow applications; created and modified applications for internal use including an application for tracking the status of our group’s projects.

Assembling microscopic devices for crystallography. Includes quality assurance and packaging. Generated reports, timesheets, inventory sheets, an Acrobat 6.0 order form with JavaScript, and a mailing list from scanned documents with approximately 4,000 entries.

Enhancing MS Access and Oracle database applications with VBA and SQL. Also some data entry/verification.Completed two projects in four weeks working part-time.

Assisting and monitoring students, responsible for preparation and closing of one main lab, two overflow/classroom labs, three classroom labs, and occasional tech support in various locations on campus, solving hardware, software, and (occasionally) network problems, assisting students, faculty, and staff with any problem involving the lab and/or the computers in it, and proficiency with many programs, especially Windows, MS Office Products, Pegasus Mail, Novell Netware, PC-Rdist, Internet Explorer, Netscape, MS Visual Studio, etc.
