As Production Manager at the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, I oversee the execution of all staging and technical elements of our productions and ensure strict adherence to our musicians’ and crew’s collective bargaining agreements. Prior to each production, I collaborate with our Director of Artistic Operations to plan our staffing and crew needs, as well as to create stage plots, run of show plans, and production documents for all of the FWSO’s Symphonic, Education, Local, and Runout performances. My role also involves extensive administrative work, including tracking and approving stagehand payroll, assisting with travel and accommodation arrangements as needed, and leading the upkeep and organization of our instrument inventory and warehouse, including assessing our backline and instrument rental needs for each program.On concert days, I work in conjunction with our IATSE steward to direct the workflow of our stagehands in accordance with our Local IATSE’s collective bargaining agreement, ensuring the stage is set to the standards of our musicians’ Master Agreement – handling all complaints and navigating the many concurrent and often-competing needs of our musicians, guest artists, and staff.

Oversaw all of the technical, staging, and staffing elements of every FWSO production - advancing all productions with our guest artists and external vendors, creating all production documents and run of show plans, and overseeing the execution of those plans as the stage manager for all performances. Throughout the entire process, it was my job to ensure that we never had to compromise a moment because of logistical, technical, or personnel concerns.

The Blue Stars Drum and Bugle Corps is a youth performing arts organization, which engages in a nationwide, summer tour including over 30 performances, and culminating in the Drum Corps International World Championships in Indianapolis, IN. The 150 students in our ensemble are selected via a rigorous, months-long audition process, from a pool of applicants from dozens of states and multiple countries.As a senior member of the instructional staff for the front ensemble caption, I provide education and guidance to 14 young adults in areas including advanced mallet technique, ensemble communication, analytical and emotional engagement with musical works, and instrument care and maintenance. The Blue Stars Front Ensemble is widely regarded as one of the top ensembles of its kind within the activity.

Directing multi-camera concert broadcasts and recordings, with regular live streaming to Facebook using Livestream, Vimeo, and SlingStudio, with post-production in Final Cut.Managing UBC’s inventory of wind instruments and A/V equipment, facilitating rentals and repairs, and identifying new purchases as needed.

Assistant conductor to the Director of Bands, with responsibilities including orchestrating parts, creating condensed scores, marking scores, creating programs and supplementary visual materials (projections, slide shows, children’s guide videos), coordinating stage setup for rehearsals and recording sessions, and running rehearsals and sectionals.TA duties also involve managing class websites and School of Music IT needs (Canvas, NAS servers, Dropbox).

Initially a work-study position, I was eventually hired as a temp worker to fulfill a variety of roles in the People & Talent (HR) Department. My role included work on pension projects and other benefit information, data migration and file digitalization, scheduling candidates for screenings and interviews, coordinating the calendars of the other department personnel, organizing and managing a file room and various other work spaces, and a variety of other clerical tasks.Rotary is 1.2 million inspired business and professional leaders, in 35,000 Rotary clubs and more than 200 geographical areas united daily across cultures and occupations addressing illiteracy, disease, hunger, poverty, and lack of clean water.
