Griffin Brothers is a relatively small firm, therefore I closely coordinate with the CEO and CFO and often take on various responsibilities. I am usually given the reigns to innovate freely and manage entire projects with autonomy. This opportunity has significantly advanced my knowledge/experience in this industry.List of Duties, Responsibilities, and Involvement:• Perform financial analyses of all businesses in the portfolio monthly.o Utilize and configure the detailed Profit and Loss Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement, alongside detailed General Ledgers and operating metrics tailored by business.o Developed intricate excel dashboards to display data meaningfully.o Write summary reports, usually 1-2 pages, of my thoughts and observations.o Build Proformas, Discounted Cash Flow models, and other Financial Forecasting tools. o Budget and stress test new project ideas, ventures into untapped markets, and capital restructure.o Advise our greener ventures on business strategy, financial awareness, data organization, and software optimization.• Accounting and Bookkeeping for specific businesses within the portfolio. I am given these responsibilities on accounts that require the use of extensive software or heavy data analysis. I manage only some business’ books entirely.o Reconcile multiple accounts including revenues, receivables, holding and accruals. o Analyze vendor aging and other payable accounts.o Build opening balance entries and large integration error entries.o Handling asset reconciliations with advanced Depreciation or Amortization schedules.o Handle large data imports for credit card and bank transactions or imports from non-integrating point of sale software.o Utilize complex formulas and VBA Macros.o Assist AR and AP specialists in finding solutions to complex problems.o Pay monthly Sales and Use Tax across multiple counties and states.o Maintain compliance and handle month/year end closes.

Routinely tutor students taking Freshman and Sophomore level business courses through scheduled appointments and walk-in hours.Primarily tutor students in Principles of Microeconomics, Principles of Macroeconomics, and Business Calculus.

Build/Finalize the sign creation process, requiring me to be skillful and precise with knives, tape, straight edges, squeegees, and other specific manufacturing tools. Install assorted variants of signs, some examples including window vinyl, max-metal street signs, and Coro road-side signs. Closely communicate with customers as to what exactly they are desiring before and during the time of installation. Work alongside the company’s Lead Designer and Customer Support to schedule appropriate workloads for the week and suffice customer requests.

Instructed Merit Badge classes such as Cooking, Camping, and Fire Safety to classes ranging from 20-50 youth boys, all between ages 12-17. Organized lesson plans, hands-on activities, homework/tests assignments, and but not limited to overnight camping operations on a weekly basis. Allocated, maintained, and organized large amounts of inventory/equipment as well as providing specific instructions to camp directors on what items or equipment we needed. Often utilized basic first aid procedures to treat simple wounds or conditions, such as heat exhaustion, for many youth boys and some adults. Trained other staff to have more entertaining and influential classes as well as train them to overall become a more effective instructor. Helped preserve and maintain natural wildlife and forestry by using landscaping equipment and by coordinating environmental service projects.
