As a board member of this Belgium-based non-profit I have held two positions. In 2008 I served as the event coordinator helping to plan and supervise Drupalcon, a worldwide conference held annually in the United States and Europe. My responsibilities included the supervision of revenue generation and expenditures of over 300,000 USD, and the recruitment of a management team for the conferences. From 2009 to 2010 I served as the organization's Treasurer. I managed a budget of over 2 million held in USD, EUR, and GBP. Defined revenue and expenditure metrics to measure effectiveness and advised on U.S-related financial and accounting matters: tax law, legal entities, etc and worked closely with the organization's accountants to ensure effective use of the organization's finances.

Using my experience as a project manager and consultant I helped companies all over the world develop their web technology strategies including creation of development teams, staff recruitment and training, systems architecture, and operational roadmaps. In China I worked with Ethos, Ixi360, and Wiredcraft to build development teams, train staff, and provide high performance consulting on PHP and Drupal based websites including several frequented by over 5 million users. Working with Hangzhou University I advised on how best to incorporate open source software curriculum at the University level. In Amman, Jordan I created strategic development plans for Arabia's largest social networking platform with over eight million users. In Shanghai, China I was part of a management team that created an international software development firm. I created sales processes, recruited employees, developed employee incentive programs, and provided managerial advice. The company is now being ran successfully, winning contracts originating from France and the United States.
