As the only undergraduate on a team consisting of three M.B.A candidates, I collaborated in delivering a full operations plan for the new Office of Business Development (OBD) at the University of Minnesota. The main objectives were to advise the executives prior to launch, and to establish ongoing evaluation performance criteria for the Office. In the process, we engaged early stage investment communities, high-tech accelerators and incubators, and best practice universities.• Identified key criteria for university-based technology and start-up development programs • Created an operational plan for the Office that aligned with the University culture and vision• Proposed the metric framework to measure ongoing departmental results• Brokered a relationship with the Kauffman Foundation to measure the effectiveness of the University’s technology transfer process
