I've taught in a number of kindergarten and pre-K classes over the past 3 years. I now focus on mostly reading strategies with pre-K students. I also help our International Department Administration team by working to manage new teachers and schedule substitute teachers in addition to various other tasks.

As a Teacher Collaborator and Community Organizer (TCCO) Volunteer with the Peace Corps, I focused on two things: 1 - Developing the teaching skills of rural English teachers in Thailand and 2 - Sharing cultural experiences and understanding between Thai nationals and Americans.

I was an assistant in a remedial reading class, primarily using Scholastic's Read180 program. Apart from the program, we worked with the students to encourage reading habits and basic reading skills (i.e. vocabulary strength and grammar skills).I also worked in general student supervision before, during and after school.
