Current• Tech Lead for the GS UI Toolkit, an internal Web-based UI library of ~80 components which supports both Angular and React.• Responsible for leading a massive overhaul of the UI library from its previous incarnation to bring it up to a modern, high quality, well-tested, and flexible UI component library.• Hands on in almost every aspect while also leading architecture, code reviews, and technical conversations with team members and partners both inside and outside the Core Engineering division.• Responsible for the build system and CI/CD infrastructure for our monorepo as well (~235 total modules). Migrated our monorepo tool from Rush to Bazel (Google’s build tool) and reduced our total CI time by 77% using a combination of remote caching and distributed building. • Built out a number of Node.js and CLI utilities to automate our processes, add custom linting, and created other tools to ensure correctness and reduce errors.• Built out an AST-based Angular/React codemod utility to automate helping users upgrade their apps from previous versions of our library to the latest.• Mentor both junior and senior developers alike to teach all the skills of modern front-end development including architecture, component API design, automated testing, clean code, performance, and more.
