 Conducted frontal impact crash safety tests to validate the system safety performance of interior components (airbags, seatbelts, seats, steering column, instrument panel, etc.) in relation to occupant injury data. Wrote system safety test plans and verified performance met regulatory requirements per country of sale, in-house requirements, and consumer metric targets on time with quality. Resolved concerns by working with CAE, release engineering, safety integration teams; proved out engineering changes in the safety test lab. Led build and test activities for dynamic system sled, static system, and full-scale vehicle barrier testing. Led pre-build check on test vehicles, wrote test requests, coordinated vehicle retrofits, verified test vehicle builds, supervised tests, analyzed ATD injury and vehicle accelerometer data, conducted posttest vehicle teardowns for issue root cause and test documentation, and reported out test results to integration teams. Represented General Motors at IIHS and NHTSA contracted test sites for third party vehicle barrier tests.
