I am very passionate about pushing myself to become a better person, a harder worker, and a more desirable employee. I enjoy working with others to achieve a common goal. I believe anything can be achieved with hard work and motivation.I graduated from the University of Wisconsin Whitewater in 2022 with a degree in business management with a minor in occupational health and safety. While in school I worked as an activity aid for Productive Living Systems. PLS provides residential services for adults that have been diagnosed with mental illness. I worked to improve the lives and well-being of adults with behavioral and cognitive disabilities. I learned to effectively use teamwork and communication skills to overcome challenges and obstacles. Working in this field lead to me my current career path as a Safety Manager. I am driven to continuously improve the working conditions to create the safest environment possible. Some of my roles and responsibilities as a Safety Manager include: o Developing and implementing safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment for employees.o Identifying potential workplace hazards and recommending strategies to prevent or mitigate them.o Conducting regular safety inspections and audits of facilities, equipment, and work practices to identify and address any safety concerns.o Developing and delivering safety training programs to employees to ensure they are aware of potential hazards and how to avoid them.o Investigating accidents and injuries to determine their root causes and develop recommendations for preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future.o Managing and maintaining safety-related documentation, such as accident reports, training records, and safety inspection reports.o Ensuring that the organization is in compliance with all relevant safety regulations and laws.o Coordinating with other departments and external agencies to promote safety and health within the organization and the community. Working as the Safety Manager at Maxus Operations has given me a thorough understanding of occupational safety and health regulations and standards, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with employees, management, and external agencies. I have learned the importance of organization and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
