Jacob Johnson is a senior at Virginia Tech majoring in Political Science and Geography. He is currently representing Virginia Tech in the Schuman Challenge competition and the European Union Simulation (EuroSim) for the spring of 2025. The Schuman Challenge competition hosts various American colleges and universites to address and engage in transatlantic issues while EuroSim includes European universities to debate and simulate the innerworkings of the EU on current policies and challenges. Jacob is also involved in the International Relations Organization at Virginia Tech, a student led think tank, as a researcher engaging in research reports and real world simulations. After graduation, he hopes to gain valuable work experience in the public policy and international affairs environment of Washington, D.C and continue his academic career through persuing a Masters degree.
