Within the orthopedics branch of J&J Medtech -- collaborated with many disciplines including UI design, engineering, project management, human factors engineering, marketing, and more to ensure the successful launch of user-focused medical products, devices, and systems. Developed and polished the aesthetic strategy of our team's design output to amplify the desirability, usability, and emotional impact of our designs. This included the development of individual products (both real and ideal) as well as design languages that span multiple product categories. Created specification documentation to ensure proper manufacturing outcomes. This included graphics, color, material, finish, sound, form, and more. This also included prototype reviews related to color-matching adjustments, plastic molding quality, finish accuracy, and form adjustment to ensure the desired outcome is met.Assisted in the organization, planning, content creation, and facilitation of cross-functional concept-generation workshops. Presented design concepts, strategies, and data-based use cases to leadership in both design and non-design positions. Performed observational research both in labs and ORs to better understand the usability and emotional impact of designs that are used in a variety of procedures.Managed the workload and output of design contractors to ensure consistent and quality output that is aligned with existing visual design languages. Mentored and managed the workload, tasks, and output of new team members.
