About Jacob Taubeneck

My current position is as a Behavioral Health Specialist at Children's Hospital Colorado. As a Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) I am responsible for direct patient care and safety including supervision and management of children and adolescents hospitalized for severe psychiatric symptoms and are at risk for endangering themselves or others.I specialize in providing acute psychiatric treatment for children and adolescents (4-17 years old) diagnosed with an intellectual and/or developmental disability (e.g., Autism Spectrum Disorder; intellectual disability) who are experiencing a psychiatric crisis (e.g., out-of-control behavior; suicidal ideation). The Neuropsychiatric Special Care (NSC) program I am proudly apart of offers both inpatient and partial hospitalization programs (PHP). The NSC program’s mission is to provide individualized and comprehensive treatment to address each child and their family’s unique needs.
