I began my academic journey in 2013, earning an extended B.Sc. degree with a focus on microbiology and biochemistry in 2017. During my undergraduate years, I gained practical experience as a lab assistant and conducted research on pathogenic yeast at the University of the Free State. Subsequently, I pursued an M.Sc. in microbiology and worked as a junior associate clinical data coordinator in the CRO industry for a year. Currently, I am a PhD researcher in biochemical and bioprocess engineering at UCD.
