Jacobus Van Rooy is currently in his 3rd year of study in the faculty of Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. His goal is to engage in research and pursue a career in the field of medicine. During his academic career he also competes as a student athlete for the University of Calgary Rowing team. He has a passion for philanthropy and community involvement which he has maintained for numerous years. Current community involvement includes volunteering with Safewalk at the University of Calgary, Chairing the Residence Students' Society, Vice President Administration for the Kinesiology Students' Society, and RSA Representative for the Residence Students' Athletic Association.
