• Production line support and troubleshooting.• Perform product design changes per customer requirement and ensure design compliance to industry standards for powertrain components.• Hypoid Gear Design for automotive applications.• Collaboration with the manufacturing team in order to assure the producibility of the parts.• Maintain and update product DFMEA and Bill of Materials.• Analyze and give feedback to Engineering Change Requests from customers, suppliers and internal driven.• Develop and coordinate Design Validation Plan & Report.• Review and release mechanical part drawings.• Perform tolerance analysis to ensure, fit and function of mechanical parts in assemblies.• Support in cost optimization initiatives.• Lead technical reviews with suppliers for new components.• Conduct problem solving activities through the use of methodologies such as six sigma, DoE in order to find and resolve the root cause.

• Responsible for the successful design, within manufacturing, cost and timing requirements, of a Synchronized Mode variant of a Transfer Case, for a 2017 Model Year vehicle with an Axle Disconnect Device for a Japanese OEM; since the creation of the drawings until prototype testing. The design will be in production in 2016.• Successfully led/Implemented a new validation plan and test for a grease can as a new component in a developing Transfer Case for GM. The result was an optimized design to prevent oil from leaking in accordance to customer/federal regulations.• Led DFSS Project, within 8 weeks, to improve the acceptance rate of Motor actuator component from 1.62% to 96.13% along with a 67% reduction in warranty claims. • Responsible for Monozukuri’s ¨Complexity reduction” Pillar with overall potential savings of $ 6.13 usd per unit.• Led Synchronizer component analysis and testing to compare Magna’s two main designs with the objective of having a design selection tool for future applications and reduce cost related to design changes in the development process.

• Responsible for implementing Lean tools such as VSM, 5`s, Standardized Work, Kanban, in order to optimize production efficiency in the value chain (raw material / finished product) of V6 and V8 heads for GM, Chrysler and Ford products. • Assigned to a special task force that redeployed 800+ headcount by implementing standardize work, balanced operations. The end result was 0.5M usd in hard savings.

Operation’s Talent ProgramDetermine the economic order quantity in High Mix High Volume Production Line.• Reduction of changeover time and frequency by implementing the optimal SKU sequence.• Reclassification of SKU’s by combining orders as a way to improve efficiency of the line.
