I’m Jacob Vidkjaer; A creative director, designer, animator, sound designer, ex-rapper, beatmaker, dad, husband and the founder of Playminds™.Started out at a young age producing my own music and writing songs, I found myself working with branding many years before I even knew the word. The satisfaction I got from also creating my music projects visually, ended up being as joyful to me as composing the music. Trying to “make it” in the music industry, I learned the hard way that if you need stuff done, you need to do it yourself. Flash forward a few decades I’ve been exploring and working with everything from web design, UI, coverart and editing. I found my path in motion design because it gives me the opportunity to combine the best of my passion for music and visual deliveries with storytelling to create engaging content that accurately expresses a brand strategy, conveys the right message, and connects artists, brands, or products with their audience in unexpected ways. After working for various studios and production companies, recently as a Lead Motion Designer for Designit, I found an urge to take everything I’ve learned, skip was wasn’t doing it for me, and do things Sinatra-style. My aim with Playminds™ is to set up new standards and combine the blurred line between work and play, not only for myself but also for the people I collaborate with.
