About Jacob Cantrell

I graduated the Walker College of Business at Appalachian State University in December of 2022 with a BSBA in Risk Management and Insurance. I've had a number of internships in insurance ranging from the agency side to the brokerage side. In January of 2023, I started a position at Founders Professional as an Assistant Broker in Tampa, FL working under a number of brokers specializing in Professional Liability. Things such as cyber insurance, employment practices liability, Lawyers Liability, and miscellaneous management liability are things I helped write.In March of 2024, I was given the opportunity to move into the family business, H.B Cantrell & Co. Insurance Agency in Charlotte, NC. I will learn how to be an agent over time while being a customer service representative.
