Emotify is a hands-free app that utilizes "Neural-Navigation," allowing users to enjoy a Spotify-inspired audio app using only their BRAINWAVES.Using an Emotiv Insight headset for realtime, user-specific EEG data, Emotify displays a working proof of concept that aims at giving a wider user population autonomy over their music experience.You can play or pause, go next or previous, or even cycle between playlists, all with the use of your brain.The idea here is to show that you can give full control of the main audio functionality over to EEG-trained, brainwave commands in place of the usual physical inputs. This would provide accessibility to those who might benefit from an alternative methodology, and it could also have exciting implications on things like hands-free music/technology in the future.-Built with Python on the backend (Flask, SQLAlchemy), Vanilla JavaScript on the front, CortexAPI (Emotiv Headset) for the headset and websocket connection, PostgreSQL for database management, etc.Interested?
