I completed a 3-month contract working with the team at TechPoint on various research initiatives. Principally, we sought to analyze and define the main occupations in the tech industry, allowing us to showcase the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be successful in any given field. This project had farther-reaching implications. For example, we hoped to connect with local universities and perform gap analyses between what skills students are taught in school and what is expected in the industry, ultimately allowing us to bolster Indiana's technology talent pipeline. This position served as a practicum and as a capstone to my master's program. During my time here, I created content and predictive validation studies on the PAN test-authoring platform. I have also analyzed employee engagement data and highlighted key findings, conducted adverse impact analyses and served as the primary data analyst in conducting a preliminary investigation of Situational Judgment Test data.

I served as the TA for the courses Theories of Personality, Intro to I/O Psychology, and Social Psychology. As a TA, I was responsible for giving developmental feedback to students; this included helping them improve their writing and presentation skills along with developing their understanding of empirical articles and data analysis.

As a SONA administrator, I helped connect undergraduate psychology students to research opportunities. I worked with students to ensure that they were meeting their course's research participation requirements. Also, I worked with researchers to advertise their studies and ensure all of their study information was in compliance with IRB guidelines.

This internship took place between the first and second year of my master's program. During my time here, I helped administer police officer and firefighter applicant and promotion exams. Additionally, I developed new test questions to be used in these examinations. I also updated the organization's behaviorally anchored rating scales, increasing their utility.
