Responsible for the design and manufacture of the steering, suspension, and unsprung mass of a solar-powered vehicle. Achievements include:● Made high-level design decisions for dynamics system design at the beginning of a new design cycle● Designed steering geometry to optimize Ackermann steering and reduce losses● Designed suspension geometry to optimize camber gain with tight lateral constraints● Designed structural unsprung mass components to operate under heavy loading accounting for fatigue and manufacturability while reducing overall weight● Designed braking system and selected brake components accounting for required hydraulic advantage● Validated structural components through FEA simulations● Manufactured ~70% of machined parts with the use of mill, lathe, and CNC mill

Worked on designing and building the R1 Test stand intended to test Aeon R Engines. Primary projects included:● Learning to use a plasma cutter table and establishing standard operating procedures and manufacturing pipelines.● Designing and coordinating manufacturing for waterfall cable tray supports to support large loads and category 5 hurricane-force winds● Designing an initial approach for turbopump mount tooling while accounting for input from engineers and technicians in 3 separate sites.
