I'm Jacopo Sala, and I'm a master's student studying European security right now. This master's degree is a combined offering from Universidad Francisco de Vitoria in Madrid and University LUISS Guido Carli in Rome. By concentrating on the problem of security for European interests, the master covers the area of European foreign relations. In actuality, the courses cover a variety of academic subjects and geopolitical regions, such as history, security studies, law, migration, and policy-making. One such region is the Middle East and North Africa (MENA). I previously attended the University of Trento and the University of Ca' Foscari in Venice. I expanded my knowledge in European and International Studies while I was a student at the University of Trento. The first year of the MEIS program—Master in European and International Studies—includes classes in the fields of economics, history, law, political science, and sociology. Students might opt to concentrate on particular topics during their second year of the master's program; I choose to take classes on European policy and the history of the Southern Neighborhood.Furthermore, during the second year of the master's program, I participated in the "Thesis Research Programme" at the University of Oxford, where Dr. Michael Willis accepted my study proposal. I wrote on "The Role of Modern States in Middle Eastern History". Indeed, the University of Oxford permitted me to use the Middle Eastern Centre Archives (MECA) and Middle Eastern Centre Library (MECL) at St. Anthony's College to further my research goals. Considering my working experience, I have worked for COOPI on their project "Carta, Nastri e Solidarietà". The project focused on informing people about the struggles that the communities hit by the terrorist organization Boko Haram suffered. While some of us were explaining, volunteers or project managers, if the situation required, were wrapping the gifts bought at the stores where the banquets were placed.Since the beginning of September 2024, I have been working for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on a project that the Ministry and the Movimento Cristiano Lavoratori support. The research concerns peacekeeping and I need to analyse the contemporary political, social and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Furthermore, I need to organize events to enhance the dialogue between the ethnoreligious groups which exist in Bosnian society.
