Development at Thales Alenia Space (Turin) of an operating system RTEMS-based for a novel concept of avionic space architecture to be deployed in future orbiting modules or on the lunar surface. The system has been designed to be modular, reusable, and flexible for in-flight astronauts, aiming to reduce engineering costs and time-to-market. Main software implementation carried out in C and RTEMS, including the development of communication protocols between modules using MIL-STD-1553, CAN bus, and Ethernet. Additionally, contributed to the development of a Python tool with a QT-based graphical interface for analyzing packets exchanged between satellites and the ground station.

Research and analysis on automatic methods and tools to identify GPU-friendly algorithms in large code bases. Employed tools such as Intel VTune, RRZE LIKWID, and Intel Advisor, with a focus on Arithmetic Intensity analysis. Implemented findings to successfully port functions of OpenTimer, an open-source static time analysis tool developed in C++, to GPU using OpenACC.
