About Jacopo Soria

I’m the COO and Co-founder of WalletSaver/Arbitryum and CompareTech, startups focusing on the price comparison sector for TELCO, Energy and Insurance rate. I've been leading a team of 9 amazing people, following all the steps needed to deliver top notch products: from market-fit analysis, UX & UI studies, up to quality assurance and customer/partner relationships.I’ve spent the last 5 years working in the price comparison sector for TELCO and Energy plans, focusing mainly on Italian, German and Brazilian market, but also studying and analysing many other potential ones. Starting your own company is a great chance to improve yourself in all possible fields. It’s a great opportunity, a tough “gym” and a lovely journey which led me to better understand my strengths, improve many weaknesses and get to know brilliant minds.My main skills are:+Project Management+Product Management+Customer, Partner, and Client relationships+Quality Assurance+Public SpeakingI am a deep lover of slow travelling, since I believe it’s the only way to really understand another culture and discover new places. Indeed, the best experiences I had so far were during the 1 year I spent in the US as an Exchange Student and in the 6 months I lived in Brazil when we shortly moved our Product team there. I also had other working experiences abroad in Lisbon and Munich when we attended the Lisbon Challenge and Wayra acceleration programs.In my life, sport has always played an important role, from swimming and tennis, up to horse riding and crossfit (but I do suck at football!). I think it’s the best way to release all the negativity and stress and be even more productive during the day.

    In the very early stages of your own startup, there is no specific role and task. You do everything that needs to be done and that you know you can do better than anyone else in the company. However, once we started having a more structure tech team, my main focus was the Digital Marketing and Communication of WalletSaver.My main tasks have been:1) Marketing - Developed the launch strategy for our mobile apps and keep growing users Tool used: - Growth hacking strategies (using Thunderclap). - PR relationships to get press coverage (we reached ~30 articles in few days) - Marketing campaigns using Google Adwords, Twitter Ads, Facebook Ads (most performing) Achievement: We reached the 1st position in the Top new trending apps - Tools section2) Customer care - interacting with users to hear their feedback in order to improve products and keep them satisfied.
