I help schools and education organizations find, keep, and develop great people.

In this role I oversee Fellowship programming for the northeastern United States, including Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. In addition, I continue to hold responsibilities listed in my previous role.

In this role (and in the two roles immediately proceeding it), I develop and execute regional partnership, talent placement, fellow programming, alumni, and fundraising strategies.This work includes cultivating and growing relationships with more than 200 district, school, nonprofit, government, higher education, and philanthropic partners to generate one million dollars+ in revenue and advising partners on human capital and talent strategy while overseeing placement of over 120 fellows with more than 90% of partners reporting satisfaction. I also coach and advise professionals on career advancement opportunities, serve as co-head of Education Pioneers’ Operational Leadership Team, manage multiple staff members, and oversee the regional budget.

I developed content for equity- and leadership-focused regional programming and facilitated 80 hours per year of programming for fellows with 94% of participants reporting satisfaction.I also managed and advised fellows and supervisors as they faced placement opportunities and challenges.

I recruited over 100 college students from diverse backgrounds to work with preschool children in underserved communities in Boston.In addition, I conducted 200+ hours of training, coaching, and professional development and cultivated strong relationships with university faculty and staff, program partner directors, teachers, and community members to ensure program sustainability and quality.

I completed multiple projects during my time at the Imagination Group, including developing and writing the Drama section of the California Preschool Curriculum Framework for the Visual and Performing Arts, Volume 2 for the California Department of Education and observing and evaluating instruction and student engagement during weekly sessions of the Get Lit: Words Ignite program.

I completed several special projects for the Chief Academic Officer of LAUSD, including co-drafting the Quality School Review Protocol and analyzing district suspension data.

I taught second grade in a dual-language elementary school (Wengert Elementary) for three years, achieving an average of 1.6 year’s growth in reading and 85.8% standard mastery in reading and mathematics for all students. In addition to reaching, I held various leadership roles at Wengert including Second Grade Chair, Writing Committee Chair, and CORE Literacy Lead Second Grade Teacher. My first year of teaching I was nominated for two new teacher awards.
