The duties of my job is to teach 7th grade students about Life Science. Students are introduced to the lab equipment that scientists use to work with many different labs. They are also introduced to how the animals, plants, and other organisms are classified in the world. We work with dissections of parts of animals and compare them to what we know about our own bodies. I will close the year with the topic of their health and how to take care of their bodies as they are growing.

I work with 6th - 8th grade students on their computer skills and to develop their knowledge about the many things that computers can do. In my 6th grade class, we work on the functions of Microsoft Office while we complete many projects. The students are also introduced to how to properly use the internet in searching and how to remain safe while using social media through various "games". In my 7th grade class, we work with Microsoft Office to create many projects that begin to use more functions the software provides. They are also beginning to work with research projects that will better their knowledge about how to properly use the internet. They are introduced to programming software and how to create their own story map using commands. In my 8th grade class, we work on Microsoft Excel and using research to create documents that compare data. They are also introduced to a software called "Audacity" that records and mixes music and/or voice recordings. They do research on a topic, record podcasts, and add music to create a real podcast. They are also introduced to different programming software that build towns and create objects that move.
