Jacqueline's career commenced with six years in the military where she developed a strong sense of self discipline which has held her in good stead throughout the rest of her career.In the years that followed she completed a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) through the University of Southern Queensland while working part time for a tax agent and raising her young family. With her degree and her tax experience behind her she then commenced her career in financial services working for Pembroke Financial Planners and then Godfrey Pembroke. She used this period to learn the role and understand the industry and the opportunities it presented. HN Financial Partners was established in 2000 as a joint venture with UHY Haines Norton. The next 14 years Jacqueline spent building the business from a two man venture to a significant and profitable business with a focus on quality, professionalism and ethics. During this time she facilitated a management buyout of UHY Haines Norton. She was instrumental in bringing on board two new shareholders and facilitated the retirement of one. She managed the application process of both the Australian Financial Services Licence and Australian Credit Licence and held the position of Responsible Manager for both. At the time that the business was sold (2013) it was recognised as one of the leading independently owned financial services businesses in Queensland and Jacqueline is acknowledged for breaking new ground in corporate superannuation services and as well as industry fund services.HN Financial Partners is now part of the Australian Unity Group.In 2017 Jacqueline commenced a sole trader consultancy, My Age Pension, which provides assistance to Age Pensioners and their advisers.Jacqueline also volunteers on the Management Committee of Queensland Braille Writers Association and is a volunteer for Disaster Relief Australia.
