CurrentLead external communications strategy and execution for Teach For America’s CEO, supporting her in more than 50 engagements and media opportunities per year to build her public profile as an education thought leader. Joined staff as half of a two-person team driving the organization’s external communications efforts. Promoted through demonstrated project leadership skills as team grew to more than 20 people and team structure evolved. Accomplishments include:~Leading the working group that created the organization’s first brand voice and messages.~Creating and implementing the organization’s first rapid-response strategy to address an increasingly complex media landscape.~Developing the organization’s first digital communications strategy, including launching a blog, Twitter, and Facebook accounts, and an e-newsletter for nearly 40,000 constituents with an open rate regularly exceeding 35%.~Designing and implementing a system to monitor, measure, and leverage media coverage with internal and external constituents. ~Leading the successful pilot for an enterprise-wide constituent relationship management system.
