Jackie Bryan graduated from Spelman College magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. At Spelman, she was an Ethel Waddell Githii Honors student. Ms. Bryan interned at the Commonwealth Magistrates & Judges Association in London, England, where she researched international gender issues emerging in judicial courts and curated a newsletter for the organization. In 2020, she became a Summer Fellow of the Arthur Liman Center at Yale Law School. Through this fellowship, she first started her work at Johns Hopkins. After graduating from Spelman in 2021, Jacqueline began working as a Research Assistant at Johns Hopkins. She now works for the Office of Government, Community, and Economic Partnerships (GCE), formerly the Office of Economic Development and Community Partnerships (OEDCP). Ms. Bryan oversaw the production of OEDCP video programming and special events with strategic partners, programs that were disseminated across the Hopkins network and the greater Baltimore/DMV area. Ms. Bryan has also been a core member of the Johns Hopkins Health and Education Training (HEAT) Corps at Johns Hopkins since 2020, providing project management, strategic planning, marketing, and curriculum development through her work with professionals across the enterprise to curate topics into lessons for youth. She also co-created and produced the HEAT Corps town hall series, a virtual program for community residents centered on tackling pressing public health issues, like gun violence, Long Covid, and mental health stigma. In partnership with the Office of Telemedicine, Jackie supported the team in curating a Telehealth Equity Initiative focusing on digital inclusion, access, and literacy.Jacqueline was also the Project Lead for the launch of the 2023 Ward Infinity accelerator, a health equity accelerator that invests in founders with community-driven solutions to reduce health disparities in Wards 7 & 8 in Washington D.C. Ms. Bryan assists with grant writing and research, specifically synthesizing information and creating reports and decks for key leaders at Hopkins and external stakeholders. She has co-authored five published manuscripts in academic journals, was a contributing author to three presentations at the American Public Health Association 2021 Annual Meeting, a co-presenter at the 2021 Diversity & Inclusion Conference by the Diversity Leadership Council at JHU, a contributor to the 2022 Medicine for Greater Good "Medicine and Advocacy" panel, and a contributor to the HEAT Corps' Impact presentations at the 2023 and 2024 Annual CUMU Conferences.
