As a hobby, I run around in large squares with my dogs for a chance to win pretty ribbons. Win or lose, it’s all about doing hard prep work, networking amongst my peers, presenting to a judge & having a good time that keeps me coming back. Fortunately, this easily translates over to the office environment-Preparing content & projects in fine detail-Networking & communication skills with individuals from all walks of life-Promotion of product, especially through social media (Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat as well as Website and Email) utilizing Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Microsoft Office-Presenting to a higher authority, be it clientele or director-Eager for & open to constructive criticism to ensure I bring only the best to the ‘ring’-Organization & time management for planning the next strategy & ‘in hand’ dates-Extensive capabilities for thorough research-Though the competitive edge is there, it’s also necessary to implement strong teamwork skills for the benefit of all involved -Loves dogs (ok, that one might not be relevant but who doesn’t love dogs)-Ability to work in high stress environments with varying temperaments (maybe the dog thing is relevant!)Though the last decade of my life was spent working in Emergency & Specialty Veterinary Medicine, I’ve embarked on my first year working in marketing for a progressive & ever evolving Alaskan Tribal 8(a) family of companies.
