Ophthalmic Technician— Take ocular and systemic history with use of EMR system, review patient chart and perform testing required by type of exam scheduled, patient complaint and history— Perform visual acuity measurement, refractometry, tonometry, pupil size and reactivity, eye muscle function, visual field testing, corneal topography, OCT, LASIK evaluation and assist with contact lens fitting— Scribe for doctors, optometrists, assist with patient education and maintain patient flow— Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures ensuring proper informed consent is obtained — Fill prescriptions— Triage callsPhlebotomy— Collect blood samples from patients— Practice proper patient identification by patient names and birthdate— Use best method for drawing blood and centrifuge blood samples properly— Create serum eye drops for patients— Practice infection control standards at all times when working with patients and equipment— Maintain a well-organized cart/ station at all times— Provide care to patients varying in age and health status by being courteous and sympathetic

— Provide the basic medical aid to all patients based on nature and extent of illness or injury to establish basic life support procedures or need for additional assistance.— Work in collation with local fire department and paramedics (assist in setting up EKG, IV lines and monitors)— Take and record patient’s blood pressure, pulse and respiratory rate.— Administer prescribed treatment such as first aid, immobilization of injuries, application of splints, administration of oxygen, treatment of minor wounds or abrasions, or administration of basic life support procedures.—Remove or assist in removal of victims from vehicles, or the scene of an accident or catastrophe, and assists in the transfer of victims to receiving facilities. — Respond to Communications Dispatcher and drive the ambulance to specified locations and hospital and maintain contact with the dispatcher.— Maintain crew’s quarters, ambulance vehicles and medical and communication equipment and replenishes equipment and supplies.—Serve as a company representative promoting positive customer relationships through proactive involvement in public business and community activities.

Exercise life-saving skills and enforce pool/facility rules, monitor safety of patrons in and out of waterCPR/AED/O2 and First Aid Certified Teach people of all ages how to swim, communicate effectively with parents/ guardians, create lesson plans and track performance of 20+ people over 2-4 week periods for all skill levels Maintain a clean and safe environment, communicate effectively and efficiently, supervisors, staff, and patrons Provide excellent customer service to guests, assist in other Citywide departments and events/clerical duties
