Funded through the NIH, the Community Research Scholars Initiative was designed to more effectively connect Cleveland's communities and academic researchers in order to increase community capacity for research and evaluation while also building the researchers' understanding of community perspectives. Responsible for program development, administrative oversight, curriculum planning, and evaluation of scholars and program goals. Successfully met goal of training 9 Scholars from various agencies across Cleveland. Directly helped design and mentor individual research and evaluation projects. Helped create toolkit to bridge the gap between community organizations and academics embarking into Community Based Participatory Research (CBPR).

Manage the various components of research for the MetroHealth site of a national NIH study looking into the causes and complications of chronic kidney disease (CRIC study). These include overseeing patient visits, scheduling, budget analysis, data analysis, IRB regulations, and quality control.
